• We do not sell customer information.
• We do not provide customer information to outside persons or organizations who are doing business on our behalf, for their own marketing purposes.
• We do not share customer medical information with anyone outside PLC unless you expressly authorize it, or unless your insurance policy contract with us permits us to do so (as in the case of a reinsurer).
• We afford prospective and former customers the same protection as existing customers with respect to the use of personal information.

We may collect and maintain several types of customer information we believe is necessary to administer our business, to advise you about our products and services, and to provide you with customer service, such as those below.

We may collect identification and contact information, as well as transaction and experience information from your applications, transactions with us and with others, and from outside companies. Examples of the sources and types of information we may collect include:

• Your application, registration forms or other forms containing your name, address, telephone number, policies, and accounts with others;
• Your transactions or experiences with us, or outside companies, such as your insurance coverage, transaction history and claims history;
• Credit reporting agencies and other companies, such as your obligations with others, your driving records, medical claims, and social security or tax identification number;
• You and others, such as information relating to your employment, other insurance coverages, habits, avocations, finances, credit and other personal characteristics; and
• Hospitals, doctors, laboratories, and other companies that provide information about your past or present health condition. Health information will be collected as we deem appropriate to determine eligibility for coverage, to process claims, to prevent fraud, and as authorized by you, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

How We Use Information About You

We use customer information to underwrite your policies, process your claims, ensure proper billing, service your accounts, offer you other Professional Life & Casualty Company insurance or financial products that we believe may suit your needs, and as we deem appropriate to determine your eligibility for products or services.

Information Disclosure

We share information about our transactions (such as payment of premium) and experiences with you, and information furnished us by you on your applications, registration forms, or other forms with reinsurers. Such reinsurers often seek other medical information, which we share in response to such requests. We may disclose all the personal information we collect to certain service providers such as:

• Preparing, printing, and delivering statements and other documents,
• Protecting against fraud and unauthorized transactions; and
• Maintaining or developing software for us.
• Complying with the requirements of law. We may disclose such information to law enforcement officials or state insurance agencies.

Your Choice to Share Information

We do not sell customer information. We do not provide customer information to persons or organizations that are doing business on our behalf, for their own marketing purposes. We are committed to protecting personal information, and to using or sharing it in ways that will improve or expand upon the services we provide to you. We do maintain a promotional mailing list solely for our own use. The purpose of which is to provide you with information on products and services we may provide to you. The practices and policies contained in this Privacy Policy replace all previous notices or statements with respect to the same subject. This Privacy Policy will not apply to your relationships with other financial service providers such as banks and independent insurance agents. Their privacy policies will govern how they collect, use and disclose personal information that you allow them to access.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the information collection practices of Professional Life & Casualty Company. We reserve the right to modify or supplement the Privacy Policy at any time. In the event of a modification or supplementation you will be provided with a revised notice describing our best practices, and given an opportunity to “opt out” by directing us not to disclose the information as described in such revised or supplemented Privacy Policy to outside companies (other than reinsurers).
